Kumara Foundation Merit Scholarship
Kumara Foundation provides scholarships to needy children who display academic excellence in India. The Foundation would like to offer scholarships to students who need financial support to pursue their quest for knowledge in engineering, medicine, polytechnic, science and other fields.

The scholarship is a one time lump sum amount of Rs.3000/= each [$75.00] or based on available funding and can not be extended for any reason. The scholarship committee issue the application form and screening these applications and selecting the neediest group of students who eventually become Kumara Foundation scholarship recipients.

Scholarships for the year 2009-2010:

The following are some of the available scholars for the Elementary and High Students. These scholarships are made availabe through application, based on merit and\or family income .

 

1. Sri Annadurai Memorial Scholarship funded by Mr.B.A. Rajarathinam, Dr.B.R Rajeshkumar,
Mr. R.Karunanithi, Mr.R. Karthikeyan. This scholarship was established on 15 th March 2009 by
Mr.B.A. Rajarathinam family.

2. Venerini Academy Scholarship funded by the Venerini Academy teacher, staff, students and their families, Worcester, MA 01605. This Scholarship was established on 27 th March 2009. Kumara Foundation thanks for their support.

An appreciation certificate was present to Sr. Sandra, Principal, Venerini Acadmey by Dr.Barur R. Rajeshkumar, Founder and President of Kumara Foundation for the fund raising at Venerini Academy to support Kumara Foundation Scholarship. Mr. Cross’s help in organize this fundraiser. Kumara Foundation thanks the entire Venerini family for their support.


Disclosure statement:

The primary objective of the Kumara Foundation is to promote village education. In doing that the Foundation offers help in village schools by adding extra teachers or teaching aids by providing the salaries since in most village schools although run by state funding but severely lacking in adequate number of teachers. In high school the Foundation is offering scholarships encouraging the students at senior level to enroll for future engineering or technical studies. In addition to the above activities foundation intends to offer help in several social aspects: a) Food assistance to the disabled or elderly without relatives, b) paying for a nursing attendant to any hospitalized destitute person in case of dire physical need, c) paying for the funeral of an extremely poor person whose family is severely poverty stricken.

We promise to utilize 100% of the donated money will directly fund the above program. The President, with approval of the Board of Directors has the ultimate authority to use the contributed money at his discretion.
